When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there is oversubscription within a category, priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest straight line distance (see Note 5). Distances are measured in a straight line from home to school by Solihull local authority's admissions system using six-figure grid references. If applications cannot be separated (e.g. same address, exactly equal distance), a computerised random selection system is used.
The admission of pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan is dealt with by a completely separate procedure; children with an EHCP naming the school must be admitted, reducing places available to other children. Deferred entry allowed until later in school year but not beyond first day of summer term 2028 or beyond compulsory school age. Twins and siblings from multiple births admitted where logistically possible if one is last-ranked within PAN. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Solihull MBC. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
