School Atlas is operated by Stephen Spence (sole trader), 182 Heythorp Street, London, SW18 5BU, United Kingdom. This policy applies to all paid subscriptions purchased through our website.
School Atlas Pro and Institution subscriptions are “digital content” / service contracts entered into at a distance. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract, for any reason, with no cancellation charge.
We do not ask you at checkout to waive the 14-day cancellation right (the optional waiver under Regulation 37 of those Regulations). Your statutory cancellation right therefore remains available even though we give you full access to paid features from the moment of purchase.
Where you exercise that statutory right, we will refund the full subscription fee within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the same payment method you used to pay us (Stripe), in accordance with Regulation 34. The fastest way to cancel within the 14-day window is to reply to your payment receipt or email support@schoolatlas.co.ukwith the subject line “Cancel — 14-day right” and the email on your account.
In addition to the statutory right above, we operate a simple goodwill refund policy: if you are unsatisfied with your first paid subscription, email support@schoolatlas.co.uk and we will refund you. This goodwill policy applies to your first subscription only; it does not apply to renewal payments.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (including the right to services performed with reasonable care and skill, and the right to a refund, repeat performance or price reduction where services are not as described) or other applicable UK consumer protection legislation. Where any part of this policy conflicts with your mandatory statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.
After 14 days, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. However:
We may consider refund requests outside the 14-day window in exceptional circumstances, such as:
These are assessed on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
School Atlas offers a free tier with core features at no cost. No payment information is required to use the free tier, and there is nothing to refund.
