When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distance is measured by means of a straight line on a horizontal plane... Where places are being allocated based on the distance criteria or as part of the distance tie breaker, and there are insufficient places... for two (or more) children living in the same building... or otherwise equidistant from the school, then any final place will be allocated by the simple drawing of lots which will be independently verified.
Within each of the eight categories, priority is given first to children with a sibling attending the school at the time of enrolment, then to children of staff (employed 2+ years, or recruited for a demonstrable skill shortage post) for Teaching and Support Staff groups, before the distance tie-break is applied. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first by law but this is not numbered as part of the ordered oversubscription criteria.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
