Ferham Primary School

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — Relevant Looked After Children and Previously Looked After Children (see note a).
2. 2Children of UK service personnel — Children of UK service personnel (UK Armed Forces) for families with a confirmed posting to their catchment area, or crown servants returning from overseas to live in that area (see note e).
3. 3Sibling on roll — Children who, on 15th January 2027, will have an older sibling on roll of the school in Years 1-2 at the start of the academic year 2027 (see note c).
4. 4Catchment area — Children who, on 15th January 2027, live in the catchment area of the school as defined by the Admission Authority (see note b).
5. 5Children of staff — Children of staff at the school (see note d).
6. 6Distance — All other children who, on 15th January 2027, live nearest to the school measured by a straight line on a horizontal plane (please see below how measurements are applied).

If two applications tie: In the event of two distances being equal, lots will be drawn by a representative independent of the Admission Authority.

These oversubscription criteria are a single policy determined jointly by the James Montgomery Academy Trust for all its primary schools, including Ferham Primary School, Anston Hillcrest Primary, Brampton Cortonwood Infant, Brinsworth Howarth Primary, Harthill Primary, Highfield Farm Primary, Kiveton Park Infant, Laughton Junior and Infant, Meadow View Primary, St Ann's Primary, Thurcroft Infant, Wath Central Primary and Wath Victoria Primary. No PAN figure specific to Ferham Primary School is printed in the document (the figure '105' appears to relate to Kiveton Park Meadow Junior's Year 3 entry, not Ferham). Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first as a legal requirement (Category A), but this is not a numbered oversubscription criterion.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
