When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Distance Criterion: Where the published admission number for the school is likely to be reached mid category, places will be prioritised within that category by reference to the distance between the home address and the school. Highest priority will be given to those who, on the National Closing Date, live closest to the school measured in a straight line on a horizontal plane (commonly known as measurement, "as the crow flies").
Children with a Statement/EHCP naming the school are admitted first via the Statutory Assessment process (not numbered as a ranked criterion). Children of UK service personnel are dealt with on an individual basis per the Admission Code. Additional unnumbered provisions (lettered d–h) referring to children of staff (employed 2+ years or filling a skill-shortage vacancy) and definitions of 'regular attendance' (once a month over 12/6 months) also appear in the document alongside the main six-point numbered list, creating some inconsistency with the twice-a-month definition given later; both are reproduced as published.
