When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance, measured by means of a straight line on a horizontal plane using the local authority's Geographical Information System with Ordnance Survey seed points; where places cannot be separated (e.g. flats or equidistant), a place is allocated by the simple drawing of lots which will be independently verified.
Within each of the 8 categories, priority is further given first to (i) children with a sibling attending the school at the time of enrolment, then (ii) children of staff employed for two years or more, or recruited to fill a demonstrable skill-shortage vacancy (applies to Teaching and Support Staff at this school); remaining ties within any category are resolved by the distance tie-break.
