When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of two distances being equal, lots will be drawn by a representative independent of the Admission Authority.
These criteria are a single trust-wide policy applied by the James Montgomery Academy Trust to Laughton Junior and Infant School and several other named primary schools. Preference within any criterion is given to children living nearest to the school 'as the Nodal point', measured by GIS from the Ordnance Survey Nodal point of residence to the Nodal point of the school.
