When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of there being insufficient vacancies to admit all applications in any of the categories detailed above, priority will be given to children whose parent/legal guardians' residential address is the shortest distance from the school entrance in Silver Birch Grove. The drawing of lots will be undertaken by someone independent of the admission authority.
Should the admission number be reached mid category, applications in that category will be prioritised on the shortest distance measured in a straight line from the point of the front entrance of the pupil's home address to the main pupil entrance of the school. Nursery admission number is 26 but nursery is not a statutory oversubscription entry point covered by this criteria list.
