Divine Saviour Roman Catholic Primary School

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Catholic looked after/previously looked after children — Catholic children looked after and Catholic children who were previously looked after, including those who appear (to the admission authority) to have been in state care outside of England, and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted or became subject to a child arrangements order or a special guardianship order.
2. 2Baptised Catholic with Certificate of Catholic Practice, in parish — Baptised Catholic children with a Certificate of Catholic Practice who are resident in the parishes of St Saviour's, Abbots Langley or Our Lady Mother of the Saviour, Chipperfield.
3. 3Baptised Catholic with Certificate of Catholic Practice, staff child — Baptised Catholic children with a Certificate of Catholic Practice of a Divine Saviour staff member who has been employed at the school for at least two years at the time of application.
4. 4Other baptised Catholic with Certificate of Catholic Practice — Other baptised Catholic children with a Certificate of Catholic Practice.
5. 5Baptised Catholic resident in parish — Baptised Catholic children who are resident in the parishes of St Saviour's, Abbots Langley, or Our Lady Mother of the Saviour, Chipperfield.
6. 6Other baptised Catholic, staff child — Other Baptised Catholic children of a Divine Saviour staff member who has been employed at the school for at least two years at the time of application.
7. 7Other baptised Catholic children — Other baptised Catholic children.
8. 8Other looked after/previously looked after children — Other children looked after and children who were previously looked after, including those who appear (to the admission authority) to have been in state care outside of England, and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted or became subject to a child arrangements order or a special guardianship order.
9. 9Catechumens and Eastern Christian Church members — Catechumens and members of an Eastern Christian Church.
10. 10Christians of other denominations — Christians of other denominations whose application is supported either by a certificate of baptism or by a letter from their minister confirming membership.
11. 11Children of other faiths — Children of other faiths whose application is supported by a letter from their religious leader confirming membership.
12. 12Other children of staff member — Other children of a Divine Saviour staff member who has been employed at the school for at least two years at the time of application.
13. 13Any other children — Any other children.

If two applications tie: In the event of two or more children meeting the same criteria, and provisions described within these supporting notes, priority will be given to the child who lives the shortest straight line distance measurement provided by Hertfordshire County Council's GIS system. Where the final place is offered to two or more families that live equal distance to the school a lottery will take place in the presence of an independent witness to determine which applicant will be given priority.

Top priority within any category is given to applications with compelling professional supporting evidence of exceptional medical or pastoral need. Where the final place in a category is offered to a child who has siblings applying for the same school year, siblings will also be admitted. The attendance of a sibling at the school increases priority within each category after priority 1 (exceptional needs).
