St Peter's Catholic First School

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Baptised Catholic looked after/previously looked after children — Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) who are looked after or previously looked after (See Note 3 below).
2. 2Baptised Catholic in parish with sibling at school — Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) living in the parish of St. Peter's who have a brother or sister (see Note 4 below) attending St. Peter's Catholic First School at the time of admission.
3. 3Baptised Catholic in parish with sibling in Year 4 — Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) living in the parish of St. Peter's who have a brother or sister (see Note 4 below) attending St. Peter's Catholic First School in Year 4 at the time of application.
4. 4Baptised Catholic children living in the parish — Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) living in the parish of St. Peter's
5. 5Other Baptised Catholic children with sibling at school — Other Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) who have a brother or sister (see Note 4 below) attending St. Peter's Catholic First School at the time of admission.
6. 6Other Baptised Catholic children with sibling in Year 4 — Other Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) who have a brother or sister (see Note 4 below) attending St. Peter's Catholic First School (Academy) in Year 4 at the time of application.
7. 7Other Baptised Catholic children with parent employed at school — Other Baptised Catholic children (see note 2 below) who have a parent employed at St. Peter's Catholic First School for two or more years at the time of application. This applies to any member of staff employed at St. Peter's Catholic First school.
8. 8Other Baptised Catholic children — Other Baptised Catholic children (see note 2 below).
9. 9Non-Catholic looked after/previously looked after children — Non-Catholic children who are looked after or previously looked after (See Note 3 below).
10. 10Non-Catholic children with sibling at school — Non-Catholic children who have a brother or sister (see Note 4 below) attending St. Peter's Catholic First School at the time of admission.
11. 11Non-Catholic children with sibling in Year 4 — Non-Catholic children who have a brother or sister (see Note 4 below) attending St. Peter's Catholic First School in Year 4 at the time of application.
12. 12Non-Catholic children with parent employed at school — Non-Catholic children who have a parent employed at St. Peter's Catholic First School for two or more years at the time of application.
13. 13Non-Catholic children — Non-Catholic children.

If two applications tie: If there is oversubscription within a category, the Local Governing Body will give priority to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance (see Note 5). Distances measured in straight line using GeoCode points; random selection (lottery) used if still tied.

EHCP: Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan that names the school must be admitted (Note 1), handled by separate procedure before oversubscription criteria applied. Twins/multiple births admitted where logistically possible even if PAN exceeded. Deferred entry allowed until first day of summer term 2028. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Worcestershire County Council. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
