When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there is oversubscription within a category, the Governing Body will give priority to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance (see Note 5). Where distances are equal, random allocation (lottery) is used, carried out by two officers of the Admissions Service in the presence of a local authority Solicitor.
Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the school must be admitted; this is dealt with by a separate procedure and reduces places available before oversubscription criteria are applied (Note 1). CATCHMENT: Baptised Catholic children (see Note 2 below) living in the parish of St Peter Apostle Leamington Spa. For the purposes of this policy, parish boundaries are as shown on the Archdiocese of Birmingham parish boundary map. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Warwickshire County Council school admissions directory. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
