When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there is oversubscription within a category, the Local Governing Body will give priority to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance (see Note 5). Where distances are equal, random selection (lottery) supervised independently is used.
Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the school must be admitted (statutory duty, dealt with separately from oversubscription criteria). Twins/multiple births admitted where logistically possible even if it exceeds PAN. Waiting list maintained until last day of summer term 2028, re-ranked as new applicants join.
