was the furthest place offered for 2023-24 (Reception). The council's figures don't show whether anyone was refused, so it may not have been a cut-off.
Last distance offered at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there is oversubscription within a category, the Local Governing Body will give priority to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance (see Note 5). Distances measured in a straight line using GeoCode Points; random selection (lottery) used if unable to distinguish between final qualifiers.
PAN set at 30 for Reception entry September 2027. EHCP: children with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the school must be admitted (Note 1), before oversubscription criteria applied. Deferred entry allowed up to first day of summer term 2028; part-time places available until compulsory school age. Waiting list maintained until last day of summer term 2028, re-ranked as new children join. CATCHMENT: For the purposes of this policy, parish boundaries are as shown on the Archdiocese of Birmingham parish boundary map... living in the parish of Sacred Heart and Catherine of Alexandria. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Worcestershire County Council. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
