was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: South Gloucestershire: Where it does not prove possible to resolve allocations to an over-subscribed school by the application of criteria A-F, any remaining places will be allocated by drawing lots. Lots will be drawn by a Trustee of the Mosaic Partnership Trust who is independent of the school admissions process. | Wiltshire: If two or more children with the same priority for admission live an indistinguishable distance from the preferred school but cannot all be admitted, then the available places will be decided by means of casting lots. The random allocation will be conducted independently by an officer of Wiltshire Council.
This is a multi-school trust policy covering 12 schools across two local authorities (Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire). Two distinct ordered oversubscription criteria sets apply: one for Wiltshire schools (Box CE Primary School, Neston Primary School) and one for South Gloucestershire schools (all others). Individual school PANs are published in the document and vary by school. Barrs Court Primary School is consulting on a PAN reduction from 45 to 30 from September 2027. St Stephen's CE Junior School PAN will reduce from 90 to 60 with effect from September 2029.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
