When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where children have identical ranking, priority within categories 1, 2, 3 and 5 will be determined by random allocation. For categories 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated on the basis of a straight-line measurement between the child's home address and the school, using the local authority's computerised measuring system. In the event of distances being the same for two or more children, priority will be determined by random allocation.
Within each category, sibling attendance and staff children (employed 2+ consecutive years or recruited for demonstrable skills shortage post) are applied as sub-priorities in that order. The admission authority will, where logistically possible, admit twins and all siblings from multiple births where one of the children is the last child ranked within the school's PAN.
