When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after / previously looked after / internationally adopted previously looked after — Children who are 'looked after' (LAC) by a Local Authority at the time of application, and all 'previously looked after' children (PLAC), including those who appear to have been in state care outside England (IAPLAC) and ceased to be in state care having been adopted.
2. 2Children of staff — Children of staff employed at the school for two or more years at the time of application, or recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
3. 3Feeder school, in catchment, with sibling — Children who attend one of the designated feeder schools in the partnership and live in the catchment area and have a brother or sister on roll at the time of application who will still be attending at the time of entry.
4. 4In catchment, with sibling — Children who live in the catchment area and have a brother or sister on roll at the time of application who will still be attending at the time of entry.
5. 5Feeder school and in catchment — Children who attend one of the designated feeder schools in the partnership and live in the catchment area.
6. 6In the catchment area — Children who live in the catchment area.
7. 7Feeder school, with sibling, outside catchment — Children who attend one of the designated feeder schools in the partnership and have a brother or sister on roll at the time of application who will still be attending at the time of entry but live outside the catchment area.
8. 8Sibling on roll, outside catchment — Children who have a brother or sister on roll at the time of application who will still be attending at the time of entry but live outside the catchment area.
9. 9Attends a feeder school — Children who attend one of the designated feeder schools in the partnership.
10. 10All other children — All other children who do not live in the catchment area and also do not attend a designated feeder school in the partnership and also do not have a brother or sister who will be attending at the time of entry.

If two applications tie: In all categories, priority is given first to children eligible for Service Pupil Premium, then to children who live closest to the school by straight-line distance measured by Oxfordshire County Council. If the distance tie-break produces an identical result for two or more applicants living at different addresses (and not children of a multiple birth), random allocation is used to determine who is offered a place.

This exact 10-category ordered list, plus the Service Pupil Premium / distance decider, is explicitly repeated verbatim in the document for both the normal Year 7 admissions round and for in-year applications to Years 7-11 (two separately headed, identically worded sections); one entry is given here rather than duplicating it. Children with an EHC Plan naming the school in Section I are always admitted; this is explicitly stated as not itself an oversubscription criterion, and reduces the places available to others. Where the last available place at a school has been allocated to one twin/multiple-birth child, the other(s) will also be offered a place, exceeding the PAN if necessary.
