When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — Highest priority will be given to looked after children and all previously looked after children who apply for a place at the school.
2. 2Children of staff — Priority will next be given to children of staff at the school, where: a) the member of staff has been employed at the school for 2 or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made, or b) the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
3. 3Designated area with sibling — 3a. Children living in the designated area of the school with a sibling on roll at the time of application who will still be attending at the time of entry.
4. 4Designated area — 3b. Children living in the designated area of the school.
5. 5Outside designated area with sibling — Children living outside the designated (catchment) area who will have a sibling on roll at the time of application who will still be attending at the time of entry.
6. 6Named feeder schools — Children who attend named feeder schools: Checkendon CE Primary School, Goring CE Primary School, Nettlebed Primary School, South Stoke Primary School, Stoke Row CE Primary School, Whitchurch Primary School, Woodcote Primary School.
7. 7All other children — All other children who do not live in the designated (catchment) area and also do not attend a designated feeder school and also do not have a sibling on roll at the time of application who will still be attending at the time of entry.

If two applications tie: In oversubscription categories 3-7 above, priority is given first to children eligible for Service Pupil Premium, and then to children who live closest to the school by straight-line distance as calculated by Oxfordshire County Council (from the seed point of the home address to the school's front door, Main Reception, Reading Road, Woodcote: East 464736.7, North 182009.5). Where the distance between two children's homes and the school is the same, random allocation is used, independently verified.

All children whose EHC plans name the school are admitted before any other places are allocated. The document's title and 'Review Due' date point to September 2027 entry, but the running page footer throughout reads 'Admissions September 2026' and the 'Date of Policy' is given as September 2026 (i.e. the policy was set the year before the September 2027 intake it governs); a note in the document distinguishes this policy from a prior one for 'Year 7 in September 2026', so cohort_start_year is read as 2027 per the explicit title.
