was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Madley Brook Community Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In all categories, priority will be given to children who are eligible for Service Pupil Premium and then to children who live closest to the school by the straight line distance measured by Oxfordshire County Council on behalf of the Admission Authority. In categories 2 to 5 above, priority will be given first to children who are eligible for Service Pupil Premium, then to those who are on roll at Madley Brook Primary School's nursery class and then to children who live closest to the school by the straight-line distance as calculated for the Admissions Authority by Oxfordshire County Council. If the distance "tie break" produces an identical result for two or more applicants and these applicants live at different addresses and are not children of a multiple birth, the Admission Authority will use random allocation to determine who will be offered a place.
Children with an Education, Health & Care (EHC) Plan naming the school in Section I must always be admitted. Twins and children from multiple births: where the last available place is allocated to one twin/child from multiple birth through normal operation of admission arrangements, the other twin(s)/child(ren) from multiple birth will be offered a place, exceeding the PAN.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
