When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of two or more applications tying when the above admission criteria have been applied, positions will be determined by random allocation, overseen by someone independent of the school. If the tiebreaker for a place is between two siblings living at the same address, both children will be admitted, as siblings are kept together where it is the parent/carer's wish.
Places are allocated after admission of children with an Education and Health Care Plan naming The Island Free School. All applicants are admitted if fewer than 125 applications are received for Year 7.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
