was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Avanti House Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where two or more children live an equal distance from the School, random allocation supervised by someone independent of the School will be used as a tie-breaker to determine the order in which places are allocated. Random allocation will not be applied to multiple birth siblings (twins and triplets etc) from the same family tied for the final place. The school will admit them both or all (as the case may be) and exceed the PAN.
Children with an EHCP naming the School are admitted first under separate statutory processes and are not part of the numbered oversubscription criteria. Children of UK Service Personnel and Crown Servants with a confirmed posting are allocated a place in advance where available, outside the ranked criteria.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
