When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Within each of the categories listed above the following provisions are applied in order: (i) Exceptional Need - top priority within a category where compelling evidence is provided at the time of application from an appropriate professional such as a doctor, priest or social worker of an exceptional social, medical, pastoral or other need of the child which can only be met at this school; (ii) Siblings - the attendance of a sibling at the school at the time of admission gives priority within a category after (i) (non-Catholic siblings do not take priority over Catholic children); (iii) Children of Staff who have been permanent members of staff for 2 years or more at the time of application, after (i) and (ii). Where this would still lead to oversubscription, places up to the admission number are offered to those living nearest the school, measured in a straight line from the address point of a home to the centre point of the school site; if distance is equal for the last place, a random allocation is carried out in the presence of an independent witness.
Transcribed from St Teresa's Catholic Primary School & Nursery Admissions Policy for academic year 2027/2028 (Diocese of Westminster / London Borough of Harrow). The governing board is the admission authority; the published admission number for the reception classes is 60. A Supplementary Information Form is required in addition to the Common Application Form. Children of multiple births: where there is only one place available and the next child on the waiting list is one of a twin, triplet or other multiple birth group, all of the multiple-birth children would be admitted even if this meant exceeding the admission number.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
