When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If a tie-break is necessary to determine which child is admitted, the child living closest to the school measured in a straight line will be given priority for admission. If there are two or more children with exactly the same circumstances, (e.g., the same distance measurement), then Random Allocation, undertaken by a person unconnected with the school or the Trust, will be used as a tie-break to decide who has highest priority for admission.
Any child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) naming the school will be admitted regardless of numbers. Catchment area: Arkesden, Berden, Chrishall, Clavering, Debden, Elmdon, Langley, Newport, Quendon, Rickling, Wenden Lofts, Wicken Bonhunt, Widdington and Wimbish.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
