When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance... If two or more pupils live equidistant from the school, the distance each pupil lives by road from the preferred school will be measured... In the event of this being equal (e.g. in the case of flats), places will then be decided by Random Allocation.
Within each of the 8 categories, siblings then children of staff receive increased priority to the top of that category, applied in that sub-order, before the tie-break by distance is used for remaining ties.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
