When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Children who live nearest to the school will be measured in a straight line from the centre point of the child's ordinary place of residence, to the entrance nearest to the reception point of the school building. If two or more pupils live equidistant from the school, the distance each pupil lives by road from the preferred school will be measured and the place offered to the pupil who lives nearest by this means. In the event of this being equal (e.g. in the case of flats), places will then be decided by Random Allocation.
Within each of the eight categories, priority is further given first to children with a sibling attending the school at time of enrolment, then to children of staff meeting specified employment criteria, before the tie break (distance) is applied. Twins and multiple births may be admitted above the PAN in certain circumstances.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
