Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Year 7), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
Last distance offered at Harris Lowe Academy Willesden, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where there are more applications than places remaining in any of the oversubscription categories, places are allocated by the distance between the child's home address and the Academy, with those living nearest receiving highest priority. Distance is measured using the London Borough of Brent computerised geographic information system in a straight line from the child's home address to the designated entrance of the Academy, using geographical reference points from the National Land and Property Gazetteer. Where the child lives in a multi-dwelling building, distance is measured from the same specific reference point so that it is the same for all children living there. Where two or more children live an equal distance from the Academy, places are allocated by random allocation supervised by someone independent of the Academy.
Transcribed from Harris Lowe Academy Willesden's DETERMINED ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS FOR 2027-2028 FOR THE SEPTEMBER 2027 INTAKE. The PAN for Year 7 is 180 pupils (and 20 for Year 12). The document numbers its oversubscription categories 6.1.1 to 6.1.6, but 6.1.4 is a continuation of the sibling category rather than a separate criterion, so five ranked criteria are recorded here.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
