Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there is oversubscription within a category, the Local Governing Body will give priority to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated on the basis of a straight-line measurement between the child's home address and the main front gate on Winchfield Drive. In the event of a remaining tie, the Local Authority will use a computerised system to randomly select the child to be offered the final place.
Parish boundaries are as shown on the Archdiocese of Birmingham parish boundary map for the academic year 2027/2028. A looked after child living with a family where at least one carer is Catholic will be considered as Catholic provided the carer forwards a copy of their Catholic Baptismal or Reception certificate to the school.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
