When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of equi-distance applicants, or multiple births, any place will be allocated by random selection (lottery). This process will be conducted by a suitable person independent of the school.
Pupils with an EHCP naming the school are automatically admitted and are deducted from the 60 places before the Admissions Committee meets. Within each criterion, priority is given to those living nearest to the school, measured by straight line distance using GIS/Ordnance Survey coordinates. CATCHMENT: Other young people who live in the Abbeywood First School Catchment Area. A copy of the Catchment map is available from the LA or can be seen in school.
