Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Year 7), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at The Parker E-ACT Academy, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where two or more applications cannot be separated by the oversubscription criteria, priority goes to the child living nearest the school (per the relevant Local Authority's distance methodology). Where two or more applicants are equidistant, random allocation is used, independently supervised and carried out per the relevant Local Authority's procedures. For twins/multiple births, if one child is offered the final available place, the other(s) may also be admitted, even above the PAN.
All children whose EHCP names the school are admitted before any other places are allocated (stated ahead of the numbered list, not itself numbered); separately, Section 2 notes that naming a school on a child's EHCP is a distinct process outside of this admissions policy altogether. The application timetable (Section 5) includes a generic "Assessment for aptitude places (where applicable)" step for schools that "allocate a proportion of places by aptitude (e.g. music or sport)", but Section 6's actual oversubscription criteria for this Academy (reproduced above) contain no aptitude-based criterion, so this appears to be boilerplate from a shared E-ACT template rather than something that applies at Parker Academy; treated as not applicable. The Academy will not refuse admission on behavioural grounds in the normal round, except where a child has been permanently excluded from two or more schools.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
