When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If in criteria 2-4 above, a tie-break is necessary to determine which child is admitted, the child living closest to the school will be given priority for admission. Distances are measured on a straight-line basis from the address point of the child’s permanent address to the address point of Northampton Academy, using a geographical information system.
