was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Year 7). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Higham Lane North Academy, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: The child living closest to the school is offered the place, measured in a straight line from the Postal Address File (PAF) point of the child's home to the school's centroid. If two or more applicants live an equal distance (e.g. sharing the same multiple dwelling/PAF), Warwickshire County Council conducts random allocation, carried out by two officers of the Admissions Service in the presence of a Local Authority Solicitor. Random allocation is not used for multiple-birth siblings tied for a place – they will all be offered a place, exceeding the admission number.
The Academy Trust will admit any pupil with an EHCP naming the school, which may reduce the number of places available; this is not one of the 6 numbered criteria. The school has 900 total places across Years 7-11. The priority area boundary is described in the policy and shown on an accompanying map (Caldecote parish, bounded by the Warwickshire county boundary, The Long Shoot, Hinckley Road, Leicester Road, Back Street, Newtown Road, Corporation Street, Central Avenue, Midland Road, Tuttle Hill, Mancetter Road, and the Hartshill Parish boundary).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
