When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — Looked after children and previously looked after children.
2. 2Pupil premium eligible children (capped 14%) — Children eligible for the Early Years Pupil Premium, Pupil Premium or Service Premium at the time of making the application, with no more than 14% of the places available to be allocated under this criterion on National Offer Day.
3. 3Child in Need/Child Protection Plan (capped 9%) — Children who are currently, or have been at any point since birth, subject to a Child in Need Plan or a Child Protection Plan, with no more than 9% of the places available to be allocated under this category
4. 4Children living in the priority area (siblings then others) — Children who live in the school\u2019s catchment area (priority area), in the order set out below: a. Siblings of pupils attending the school at the point the application is received. b. Other children living in the priority area. Children living on the boundary line will be considered to live in the priority area. The priority area is shown in the map at the end of this policy and described there.
5. 5Siblings outside priority area — Children living outside the priority area who have a sibling at the school at the time of admission.
6. 6Children of staff — Children of any staff living outside of the priority area and who have been employed for two or more years at the Trust at the time the application is received, and/or those recruited to meet a demonstrable skills shortage.
7. 7Other children living outside the priority area — Other children living outside the priority area.

If two applications tie: If a tie-break is needed to decide which child will be offered a place, the child living closest to the school will be offered a place, measured PAF to centroid in a straight line. If equal distance, random allocation used, except multiple-birth siblings will all be offered a place and admission number may be exceeded.

The academy trust will admit any pupil with an Education, Health and Care plan which names the school before applying the numbered criteria below.
