When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked After Catholic Children / Previously Looked After Catholic Children / Looked After Children in care of Catholic carers — Looked After Catholic Children, or Previously Looked After Catholic Children; or Looked After Children in the care of Catholic carers.
2. 2Baptised Catholic children in Wandsworth and Mortlake Deaneries — Baptised Catholic children who live in the Wandsworth and Mortlake Catholic Deaneries (see appendix 3). Evidence of Baptism will be required.
3. 3Other Baptised Catholic children — Other Baptised Catholic children. Evidence of Baptism will be required.
4. 4Other Looked After / Previously Looked After Children — Other Looked After Children and Previously Looked After Children, including those children (who appear to the admission authority) to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.
5. 5Children attending a Roman Catholic Primary School in Wandsworth — Children who attend a Roman Catholic Primary School in the London Borough of Wandsworth.
6. 6Children enrolled in the catechumenate — Children enrolled in the catechumenate. Evidence of enrolment in the catechumenate will be required.
7. 7Members of Eastern Orthodox Churches — Children who are members of Eastern Orthodox Churches. Evidence of Baptism will be required.
8. 8Members of other Christian denominations (Churches Together in England) — Children who are members of other Christian denominations that are part of Churches Together in England. Evidence of Baptism (or dedication) provided by a priest or minister of a designated place of worship will be required.
9. 9Children of other faiths — Children of other faiths. Evidence of membership of the faith provided by a priest, minister or religious leader of a designated place of worship will be required.
10. 10Any other children — Any other children whose parents wish them to attend Saint John Bosco College.

If two applications tie: Where the number of available places is less than the number of applicants within the relevant category, a system of random allocation will be used to determine priority.

Within categories 2 and 3, priority is further determined by strength of evidence of Mass attendance (regular/occasional/irregular). Separate additional tie-break priorities apply across all categories in order: (1) child with professionally supported exceptional medical or social need, (2) child has a sibling on roll at the school in September 2026, (3) random allocation if places are fewer than applicants in a category.
