When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: When applications within any category exceed places available, priority order is: i. A brother or sister on the school roll at the time of admission and living at the same address known to the school. ii. Baptised Catholic applicants with a Certificate of Catholic Practice who have worshipped at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Camberwell on Sundays or a Saturday Vigil Mass for a period of two years but have not been able to secure a place at a Catholic primary school, and have lived in the priority area of less than one mile from the entrance of the school for at least two years (measured in a straight line from the school entrance). iii. Attending one of the named feeder schools at the time of application (Group One considered first, then Group Two). The tie-breaker for each of categories i, ii and iii above will be: a) Exceptional social, pastoral and medical needs which the governors accept is the only school that can meet the child's needs, with strong and relevant evidence provided at the time of application by an appropriate professional authority. b) Proximity to the school from the child's permanent home address, distance measured in a straight line from the school entrance. Where the last remaining place is to be allocated and two or more children are deemed to be the same distance from the school, the place will be decided by the drawing of lots.
