When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 3), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: All applications will be ranked in order of distance within each category. Distance is measured using a straight line from the centre of the child's permanent address... to the designated main gate of the school. If more than one applicant lives in a multi-occupancy building (for example, flats) priority will be given to the applicant whose door number is the lowest numerically and/or alphabetically.
Children in Year 2 at St Joseph's Infant School (or any other school) must apply for transfer to St Joseph's Junior School; children who attend Year 2 at St Joseph's Infant School are given priority in each category. Where logistically possible, the Governing Body will admit twins and siblings from multiple births where one child is the last ranked within the school's PAN.
