was the furthest place offered for 2026-27 (Reception). The council's figures don't show whether anyone was refused, so it may not have been a cut-off.
Last distance offered at St Francis' Catholic Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2025-26 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distance will be the walking distance measured from the home to the main entrance of the school (For St Joachim's the nominated end point is the front entrance of Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, E16 2QU, and the distance is measured in a straight line, see appendix 2)... In the event of distances being the same for two or more children where this would determine the last place to be allocated, random allocation will be carried out and supervised by a person independent of the school.
This policy covers seven Newham Catholic Deanery primary schools under Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy Trust, each with its own PAN: St Antony's (60), St Edward's (60), St Francis' (60), St Helen's (60), St Joachim's (60), St Michael's (30), St Winefride's (30). Within each oversubscription category, sibling attendance at the school raises priority to the top of that category. Distance tie-break criteria differ slightly for St Joachim's (straight-line distance) versus other schools (walking distance).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
