When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Year 12), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Places in each over-subscribed area will then be allocated randomly.
PAN represents the minimum of 60 Year 12 places available for new (external) entrants; overall Year 12 capacity is 160 places, with up to 100 places reserved for the UTC's own Year 11 students who meet entry requirements transferring automatically; unfilled internal-transfer places are added to external applicant places up to the 160 cap. Students apply for one of two specialisms (Health & Sports Sciences: 100 places; Computing: 60 places), with unfilled specialism places reallocated up to an additional 15%. Entry requirements may be waived in specific bereavement/illness/adverse-factor cases subject to UTC Board and independent verifier approval. Children with an EHCP naming the UTC who meet minimum entry requirements are admitted first (not numbered as a criterion). Document title/body inconsistency noted: body text repeatedly refers to 'UTC Sheffield City Centre' rather than 'Olympic Legacy Park'.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
