When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where two or more applications cannot be separated by the oversubscription criteria outlined above, priority will be given to the child living nearest to the school, measured in accordance with the distance methodology used by the relevant Local Authority. Where two or more applicants live at the same distance from the school and it is therefore not possible to determine priority, random allocation will be used to decide between them. This process will be independently supervised and carried out in accordance with the procedures of the relevant Local Authority.
In the case of twins or other multiple births, where one child is offered the final available place, the school may admit the other child or children from the same multiple birth, even if this results in admission above the published admission number.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
