How places were offered at The Brian Clarke Church of England Academy, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Random Allocation (electronic process supervised by a responsible person independent of the school and the academy trust)
As a Church of England Free School, the school may admit up to 50% of the places to Year 7 each year on the basis of faith and at least 50% without reference to faith. Any unfilled places from faith categories will be added to the non-faith places. Applications with zero points church attendance will not be accepted under the category of Christian faith and will be treated as non-faith applications. The COVID-19 pandemic affected the counting period; attendance recommenced 31st October 2021 with a maximum of 33 points for the year 1st September 2021 to 31st August 2022.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
