When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Distance will be used as a tie-breaker if any of the categories are oversubscribed and there are not sufficient places available. If two or more children are tied for the last place based on proximity to the Academy, a lottery will be drawn by an independent person, not employed by the Academy or working in Children's Service Directorate at the local authority.
After the admission of children with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP), where the Academy is recorded in the Plan, the listed criteria apply in priority order.
