When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Criteria 4 is also used as a tie-breaker. Whenever two children have the same priority based on criteria 2 or 3, for example, then the child who lives closest to the school will be given the higher priority.
After the admission of children with an education, health and care plan (EHCP) where the school is recorded in the plan, the listed criteria apply in priority order. Priority is given to those who have actually applied over those who fulfil criteria but have not applied.
