When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 3), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If it is not possible to distinguish between one or more applicants for the last remaining place(s) then a lottery of those students will be drawn by an independent person, not employed by the school or working in the local authority children's services directorate.
In accordance with relevant legislation, the allocation of places for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) where the school is named on the plan will take place first. Remaining places will be allocated in accordance with this policy. Twins and other multiple birth children split by oversubscription criteria will be accommodated unless class size prejudices education. Brothers and sisters in the same year group split by criteria will be accommodated unless class size or infant class size limits prevent this. A separate application must be made for transfer to linked Lacey Gardens Junior Academy.
