When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

If two applications tie: iii. Proximity to the College – priority will be given to those having the shortest distance from the College measured in a straight line from their front door to the main gate at Winlaton site, as provided by the Local Authority

When the College is oversubscribed within any of the numbered categories above, and applicants' commitment and practice has been verified by the Parish Priest, the Governors will then apply the following sub-priority factors in order: i. Siblings – children who will have a brother or sister on roll at the college in Years 7-10; ii. Serious medical grounds supported by a consultant's letter, at the discretion of the Governing Body; iii. Proximity to the College (as defined above). Pupils with an EHC Plan naming the school are admitted under a separate statutory procedure and the criteria above do not apply to them.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
