When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Within any of the above categories, priority order is: (1) a sibling on roll at the time of admission; (2) social and medical needs which make the school particularly suitable for the child, with strong relevant evidence from an appropriate professional authority within the last three months; (3) distance from the school's pedestrian side gate to the child's permanent home address, measured as the shortest walking distance using GI Tech Measurements Service. Where two or more children live the same distance away for the last place, the place is decided by the drawing of lots.
'Policy for admission to school for 2027-2028' published on the school website; the Governing Body has sole responsibility for admissions and intends to admit 30 pupils to the Reception class in the school year beginning September 2027. Applications by 15 January 2027; offers 16 April 2027. Pupils with an EHC plan naming the school are admitted without reference to the criteria. The page also links determined policies for 2026-2027 and 2025-2026, which were not captured.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
