When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: A tiebreak will be used if 2 applications have addresses that measure the same distance from a school. Every applicant is given a unique random number for each of their school preferences. When a random tiebreak is needed, this random number is used to allocate the place – the lowest number is given priority. If 2 applications were received from the same block of flats, the applicant with the lower door number would be classed as nearest and offered a place because they are likely to be closer to the ground floor and, therefore, the school.
Document also sets separate oversubscription criteria and a PAN of 50 for external Sixth Form (Year 12) admissions, which is a distinct entry point not covered by this school entry. Twins/multiple births: Trustees will admit over PAN to avoid separating siblings of a multiple birth.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
