When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — Looked after children and previously looked after children within England. Children previously looked after from outside England and subsequently adopted.
2. 2Distance (10%, 24 places) — Not more than (10%) 24 places will be allocated to children, who do not qualify under any other Criterion, based on the nearness of their permanent home AddressBase Premium address point and the AddressBase Premium address point of the School at the time applications are required.
3. 3Children of staff — Applicants who are children of a parent or legal guardian who is a permanent member of the school staff, employed for two or more years at the time of application or recruited to fill a post with a demonstrable skill shortage.
4. 4Siblings — Children with a sibling on the School's roll in Years 7 to 12 and who is reasonably expected to be on the School's roll in September of the admitting year.
5. 5Musical aptitude (10%, 24 places) — Not more than (10%) 24 places will be available for applicants with a proven aptitude in music in descending order of merit as determined by the School's assessment arrangements. Priority catchment area (postcodes WD17,18,19,23,24,25,3,4,5, HA6-2,3) receives up to 97% of places under criteria 5 & 6, remainder to category (ii) applicants.
6. 6Academic ability (25%, 60 places) — Not more than (25%) 60 places will be available by reference to academic ability in descending order of merit as determined by the School's assessment arrangements, with the same priority catchment area 97%/3% split as criterion 5.
7. 7Distance (remaining places) — Nearness of the child's permanent home AddressBase Premium address point and the AddressBase Premium address point of the School (See oversubscription criteria 1, 2 and Tie Break situation).

If two applications tie: If a tie-break is needed between applicants that are equally entitled to a place, then an offer will be made to the applicant whose permanent home address is closer to the School, measured using AddressBase Premium address points to two decimal places. Where the distance is the same between two applicants then random allocation will be used.

PAN of 240 is stated as 'the number of intended admissions in September 2026' within this document for the 2027-28 arrangements. Priority catchment area postcodes: WD17, WD18, WD19, WD23, WD24, WD25, WD3, WD4, WD5, HA6-2 and HA6-3, allocated up to 97% of places under criteria 5 and 6. Children with an EHC Plan naming the school are admitted before all criteria per statutory requirement, as stated in the document (not numbered as a criterion).
