Frogmore Community College

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — Children who are in the care of a Local Authority, or provided with accommodation by a Local Authority under Section 22 of the Children Act 1989, at the time of application; or who have previously been in such care and left it through adoption, a child arrangements order, or a special guardianship order; or who appear to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.
2. 2Staff children — Children of staff employed at Frogmore Community College by the Weydon Multi Academy Trust, where the staff member has either been employed at Frogmore Community College for 2 or more years at the final date for admissions applications (with the school as their place of work), or their employment meets an identified skills shortage at the school. The child's home address must be the same as the staff member's. A Supplementary Information Form is required.
3. 3Exceptional circumstances (social or medical) — A very small number of students for whom exceptional social or medical circumstances warrant a place at this particular school, evidenced by supporting documentation specific to the school explaining why the child should attend this school and why no other school could meet the child's needs. A Supplementary Information Form plus supporting documentation must be submitted (by 31 October for Year 7 September entry).
4. 4Siblings — Children who have a sibling on roll at the school at the time of application, expected to remain on roll at the time the child is admitted. A mainstream child is also given sibling priority if they have a sibling with a final EHCP naming the same school who is expected to start on or before the mainstream child's admission.
5. 5Children attending a named partner school — Children attending a named partner school (in alphabetical order: Frogmore Junior School, Hawley Primary School, Potley Hill Primary School), all treated on an equal basis. For Year 7, the child must be on roll at the partner school on the closing date for applications (or, for later in-year allocations, on the date the offer is made).
6. 6Any other applicant — Remaining places will be offered on the basis of nearness to the school.

If two applications tie: If oversubscription occurs within any category, remaining places are offered based on proximity of the child's home address to the school, measured in a straight line from the Ordnance Survey home address point to the school address point using Hampshire County Council's GIS. Where two or more applicants share equal priority (e.g. equidistant), the place is allocated by random selection, with names drawn from a container in the presence of at least two senior officers from the Weydon Multi Academy Trust Central Team, independent of the school's admissions process.

Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the school are admitted and count within the Published Admission Number (not itself a numbered oversubscription criterion). In cases of multiple births or siblings born in the same academic year, if one child is offered the last place, the sibling(s) are also offered a place even if this exceeds the PAN, until the total falls to PAN minus one. Admissions authority is the Weydon Multi Academy Trust; the school is a mixed comprehensive for ages 11-16 with no aptitude requirement; appeals are handled via the Surrey Schools Appeals Service.
