The Raglan Junior School

When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Year 3), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after / previously looked after children — priority will be given first to Looked After Children and children who were adopted (or subject to residence orders or special guardianship orders) immediately following having been looked after
2. 2Children attending the linked infant school — and then to all children attending the linked primary school
3. 3Exceptional medical grounds — Children for whom a particular school is appropriate on exceptional medical grounds. Such applications will be considered under this criterion only if they are supported by an attached written statement from a doctor. This must demonstrate that there is a very specific connection between the child's medical need and the school requested. (2.1 b)
4. 4Siblings on roll — Children with a brother or sister who are already on the roll of the school who will still be attending the school or linked school at the time of proposed admission. The children concerned must be living at the same address. (2.1 c)
5. 5Children of staff — Children whose parent is a member of staff who has been employed at the school concerned for two or more years at the time of application and/or children of a member of staff who has been recruited to fill a vacancy for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage. (2.1 d)
6. 6Priority zone — Children genuinely resident within the school's designated priority zone, as described in 1.2 above. (2.1 e) — note: this priority zone applies specifically to Chase Side Primary School; no priority zone is published for Raglan Junior School.

If two applications tie: When it is not possible to admit all applicants to a particular school within any criterion, priority will be given to those living closest to the school, measured as the crow flies (straight line from home to the school's main entrance) using ADDRESS-BASE PREMIUM®; for multi-occupancy buildings with a single address point, priority is given to the applicant whose door number is lowest numerically/alphabetically.

Section 3 of the Enfield determined arrangements document ('Junior School Admissions – Carterhatch, Eldon, Hazelbury, Hazelwood, and Raglan Junior Schools') states that in the case of oversubscription, priority is given first to Looked After/previously looked after children, then to children attending the linked infant school, and then remaining places are offered using oversubscription criteria 2.1(b)-(e) as set out for community primary/infant/junior schools. Criterion (e), the priority zone, is stated elsewhere in the document to apply only to Chase Side Primary School, so is not expected to be operative for Raglan. The document does not name Raglan's linked infant school or state its PAN explicitly in the extracted text.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
