When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where the offer of places to all the applicants in any of the sub-categories listed above would still lead to oversubscription, the places up to the admission number will be offered to those living nearest to the school as measured in a straight line from the applicant's home to the school as measured by the Local Authority (LA). If two or more applications are received from the same block of flats, the applicant with the lower door number will be classed as nearest and offered a place because they are likely to be closer to the ground floor and, therefore, the school. In the event of distances being the same for two or more children where this would determine the last place to be allocated, random allocation will be carried out by the local authority's computerised allocation system.
Within each of the 9 categories, sub-provisions apply in order: (i) exceptional social, medical or pastoral need moves an application to the top of its category; (ii) siblings attending the school at time of enrolment increase priority within the category after (i). Twins/multiple births will be admitted where logistically possible where one of the children is the last child ranked within the PAN. Children with an EHCP naming the school must be admitted before other allocations.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
