When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — Looked after children and all previously looked after children, including those children who appear (to the admission authority) to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.
2. 2In catchment with a sibling attending — Children who are both living in the catchment area served by the school and have brothers or sisters of compulsory school age still attending the schools at the time of admission.
3. 3Other children in the catchment area — Other children living in the catchment area at the time of admission. Where this is the case, the Council will assess applications from the address the parents are living at the closing date and will reassess applications on the National Offer Date.
4. 4Outside catchment with a sibling attending — Children who do not live in the catchment area served by the school but who have brothers or sisters of compulsory school age attending the school at the time of their admission.
5. 5Other children whose parents have requested a place — Other children whose parents have requested a place.
6. 6Children whose parents did not request a place by 31 October 2023 — Children whose parents did not request a place by 31 October 2023.

This document reads as an unedited DfE model admissions policy: section 6.3 'Tie break' explicitly says 'These are examples of tie break arrangements that might be used. Adapt this section to reflect your own academy's arrangements' and then gives two alternative, un-chosen options (random allocation, or distance to '[road name]' — an unfilled placeholder), so no determined tie-break rule can be reliably extracted; tie_breaker is left null. Criterion 6 references a closing date of '31 October 2023', which appears to be a stale/unupdated template date rather than one set for this 2027 cohort. The academy's own text also refers to overriding criteria '(2-7)' for SEN/exceptional-medical/traveller-Roma cases even though only 6 numbered criteria (1-6) are printed — an unresolved numbering inconsistency in the source. All children whose EHC plans name the academy are admitted before oversubscription criteria are applied (not itself a numbered criterion).
