Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Year 7), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at All Saints Academy Dunstable, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If applying these criteria results and there being more children with an equal right to admission to the Academy than the number of available places, the tie break will be the distance the student lives from the Academy, measured in a straight line, using Central Bedfordshire's computerised measuring system, with those living closer to the Academy receiving higher priority. The distance will be measured from the address point of the student's home to the main entrance of the Academy. In the event of (a) two or more children living at the same address point (e.g. children resident in a block of flats) or (b) two addresses measuring the same distance from the school, the ultimate tie-breaker will be random selection, using the Synergy Admissions database to allocate the place.
After the admission of students with Education Health & Care Plans naming the Academy, criteria are applied in the order listed.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
